Warsaw City Break
Warsaw, the capital of Poland, is a unique city on the Vistula River located in the centre of Europe. It is also known as the "phoenix city" because it has survived so many wars throughout its history. Most notably, the city had to be painstakingly rebuilt after the extensive damage it suffered in World War II, during which 85% of its buildings were destroyed.
You will be truly fascinated by the history and atmosphere of this magnificent city, which combines the influences of Western and Eastern Europe, where tradition meets modernity.
Discover the city of contrasts, where historical monuments and modern architecture coexist in every street. The Old City has been meticulously restored and centres on a medieval market square with open-air cafes, surrounded by Renaissance and Baroque style houses. The Barbican, a relic of the medieval ramparts, is to the south of the square, and further south is Lazienki Park.
