Begin your Los Haitises eco adventure with a river ride which will take you deep into the protected Los Haitises National Park, you will journey through subtropical forests and the coastal sanctuary including the San Lorenzo Bay which is a marine wonderland. The bay is home to a large variety of reptiles, crustaceans, birds and beautiful flora. As you venture down the river your guide will point out the land marks that make Los Haitises a natural wonderland, see the magnificent red and white mangroves that are alive with sea creatures. See Cayo de los Pajaros island (Bird Key) which is inhabited by frigate birds and brown pelicans. Keep a look out for the cupey tree that has its branches full of colorful birds.
To finish the day, explore the caverns which are decorated with indigenous pictographs and petroglyphs on Isla Cayo Levantado and take a swim under the waterfalls, relax in a hammock and enjoy a delightful lunch and refreshing drinks.
