Caracol Mayan Ruins Tour
Highlights / General details
Enjoy the flora and fauna filled scenery along a forest trail, giving you the experience of a life time as we recount the history of nobles and peasants living in a mystic world.
The trees and forest guard the secrets of the place where Maya ancestors once gazed at the stars, plotted wars, designed and built magnificent structures, developed agricultural practices and conducted their most sacred rituals. You will visit ancient courtyards, ball courts, residential complexes and a complete astronomical observatory.
The largest of the structures is Caana measuring 43 meters in height, making Caracol the Largest Mayan Ruin in Belize. On your way back from Caracol, you will have another little adventure stopping by the Rio Frio Cave and Rio on pools of the Mountain Pine ridge. Here you can jump in for a swim and relax before returning to your hotel.
