Walking Tour of Venice:
Have a walk outdoors (no entries) through the most characteristic and important historical places of Venice. A qualified and experienced guide will escort you through the millennium of life of the Serenissima Republic, recalling the past full of charm of this unique city. ROUTES: Piazza San Marco (origin, history and description of the main monuments: Basilica San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, Bell Tower, Clock Tower and Procuratie), Santa Maria Formosa (history and anecdotes related to this wonderful and characteristic square), Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo (with the "Pantheon" of Venice, the Great School of Charity, the Captains of Fortune), Marco Polo’s House and Malibran Theatre (with its ancient history and anecdotes related to these beautiful corners of Venice). Return to San Marco through the Mercerie, a lively area between the Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark’s Square, full of shops and restaurants.
The Golden Basilica:
Enjoy a guided tour in one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals. Surrounded by its beautiful gold mosaics and marble inlays, with our professional guide, who will explain you the history and the special features of this unique masterpiece of byzantine art, you will have also the chance to admire The Pala D'oro, a perfect example of Byzantine art with its thousands of gems and precious stones and enjoy a view of the Treasury, a splendor of the religious art, well preserved along the centuries. At the end of the tour, included in the price, you can choice to go to Murano by private boat and to visit one of the most precious glass factories of the Island. Return to Saint Mark’s Square is included.

April - October: English, French, German and Spanish is available Monday - Saturday, Italian is available on Saturdays.

Tour Departs from APT San Marco 71/a, Napoleonic Wing.
Proper clothing must be worn to visit the Cathedral. No shorts or tank tops are allowed.
For security reasons, visitors will be requested to leave all bags (both backpacks and bags) at the free deposit located in Calle San Basso (near the Basilica). We kindly request all travelers interested in visiting the Basilica to carry as less bags as possible in order to avoid long lines at the deposit.
