shares

Buda is on the western side, it’s more hilly and picturesque and the views from the castle district are amazing, especially from Buda castle. Pest is on the eastern side, you will find this is the most commercial side and where you will find everything i.e. Hotels, clubs, bars and restaurants. The Hungarian dish of goulash can be found everywhere in Budapest. There are local markets where you can find classic ingredients such as paprika, smoked bacon, sour cream and Hungarian noodles. You'll also find pheasant, wild boar, venison and hare, along with freshwater fish like carp, perch and catfish also there is the local strudel pancake or curd-cheese balls. Hungarians love their beer like the majority of Europe but you'll also find a selection of fine red wines and, of course, the legendary Tokaji dessert wine.
